How does a Herd Share work? What are the benefits? In a Herd Share agreement, you pay a one-time fee for one (or more) shares of the herd. Congrats! You are now a goat owner! And because you are part owner of one (or more) goats, you must now pay the farmer a monthly fee for boarding, caring, and milking! Each share entitles you to a percentage of milk from the herd, per week. Thus, the Herd Share owner legally obtains (but does not purchase) the milk from this herd.
Easy and Simple.... 1) You pay a one time 'Herd-Share" fee. 2)You pay a monthly "boarding fee" to board your portion of the goat herd 3) Lil'Bit of Heaven Homestead provides raw milk services for you weekly, biweekly or monthly.
A one time deposit for jars and pour lids will be charged your first pickup. These items need to be cleaned and return each week. In turn they will be sanitized for re-use. At the end of the share season deposits on equipment is returned.
One-Time "Herd Share" fee: $15 per share *This fee will be refunded when you decide to forfeit your share*
Boarding Fee Options 1 Share: $ 25 monthly = Quarter Gallon weekly & 1 bar of soap monthly 2 Shares: $ 45 monthly= Half Gallon weekly & a 2 bars of soap monthly 3 shares: $ 65 monthly = 3 quart jars a week and 3 bars of soap monthly For Larger shares please contact us.
